Humane Pennsylvania offering free adoptions at Berks and Lancaster shelters
Berks County, PA -
Humane Pennsylvania, which operates the Humane Society of Berks County
and The Humane League of Lancaster County
, are participating in the national "Clear The Shelters" campaign started by NBC Universal and will be offering free pet adoptions on Saturday, August 19, according to a press release distributed Friday, Aug. 11.
QVC is sponsoring the adoption fees in Lancaster on Aug. 19 at the shelter, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602 .
Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad is sponsoring adoption fees at The Humane Society of Berks County (1801 N 11th St, Reading, PA 19604) for the whole weekend: Friday, August 18, through Sunday, August 20.
Both locations provide Humane Pennsylvania's 30-day adoption health guarantee, spaying or neutering (prior to adoption), vaccinations and microchip registration. Adopted pets will also receive a special gift.
