Berks County, Pa. -
The Animal Rescue League of Berks County is collaborating with Exeter Veterinary Hospital and the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Paws for a Cause, a free vaccine clinic for dogs on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the hotel, 701 Penn St.

A limited number of rabies and distemper vaccines will be provided for dogs on a first-come, first served basis. The first 30 dogs will receive a free microchip.

All dogs must be leashed. Water, shade and specially made dog treats will be available.

The DoubleTree will host a secondary Paws for a Cause vaccine booster clinic on Aug. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the distemper vaccine booster.

The distemper vaccine will only work properly if a secondary or booster shot is given within four weeks.

All dog owners who return for the secondary vaccine will be entered to win a free night stay at the hotel.
