Reading, PA -
Humane Pennsylvania, the largest network of animal welfare organizations in southeastern Pennsylvania, is ready for the hottest deal around.

A "Fun in the Sun" fee-free adoption weekend will run from July 29 through July 31 at the Humane Society of Berks County, 1801 N. 11th St.

The event is being underwritten by the Theo C. Auman Funeral Home in Reading, according to a news release from Humane Pennsylvania.

"We are proud to partner with The Humane Society of Berks County to ensure that every animal in their care has a chance to find a home," Kyle Blankenbiller, location manager for the funeral home, said in the release. "They are the best at what they do."

All pet adoptions during the Fun in the Sun adoption weekend include spaying or neutering prior to adoption; vaccinations, including a current rabies vaccination; and microchipping.

Normal adoption policies apply. All adopters are required to provide proof of identity and address, and may be required to provide proof of homeownership or provide the means of contacting a landlord in the case of a rental property.
