Short-legged, long-bodied dogs strutted their stuff at the Dachshund Fanciers Association of Berks County's Independent Specialty Show on Sunday.

More than 60 dachshunds of all types vied for ribbons, trophies and the Best in Show title at the event, held at the Berks County 4-H Community Center in Bern Township.

Dogs were entered under the auspices of the American Kennel Club for $28.

"It's just an enjoyable day for everyone," said Joan Raul, event coordinator.

The show has been held annually for the past 32 years, according to the association.

The event also featured a pet boutique and a luncheon for spectators and dog owners.
