To raise support for its lifesaving mission, the Delaware County SPCA will host its spring fundraiser, the Rescued on the Runway Fashion Show, a cocktail evening set for 7 p.m., Saturday, March 9, at the Community Arts Center in Wallingford.

Attendees can expect a dog-gone good people and pet fashion show hosted by 102.9 WMGK's Debbi Calton.

Adoption success stories will be featured, including Precious the starved pit bull featured on the news, as well as homeless pets awaiting adoption.

Precious will be the recipient of the Delco SPCA's "Ginger Award," an annual recognition given to exemplary pit bulls.

Human models including former Miss Delaware and one of the Phillies ball girls will be adorned in looks from stores from Philadelphia Premium Outlets, including Banana Republic, Brooks Brothers, DKNY, GAP, Kate Spade, Kenneth Cole and MaxStudio.

Guests can enjoy cocktails, heavy hors d'oeuvres, cupcakes by The Sugar Cube Cakes, a silent auction, a $400 cash prize raffle, and a deluxe goody bag.

Event sponsors include Pilot Freight Services, Pinocchio's Restaurant, MidWest Vet Supply, M&T Bank, Unleashed Pet Spa & Boutique, Training Paws LLC, Modern Eye, TD Bank, Staybridge Suites and Haverford Trust.
