The Animal Rescue League of Berks County celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on Friday with a night of dancing, food and fundraising auctions.

About 200 people attended the event, held at the Crowne Plaza Reading in Wyomissing.

The jubilee recognized the organization's 60th anniversary and raised money for the nonprofit, said Chris Shaughness, director of media and marketing.

Friday's celebration included 10 adoptable dogs that circulated through the crowd in black-collar attire. And the Rescue League also unveiled a new logo.

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher and Berks County resident Chad Billingsley and his wife, Tiffany, were the honorary co-chairs for the gala.
